What is Joomla?

Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables users to manage the content of their website as well as to easily add or delete new menu items, webpages, and addon features (modules). Many aspects, including its ease-of-use and extensibility, have made Joomla one the most popular Web site management solutions available. Best of all, Joomla is an open source solution that is freely available to everyone so regardless of your hosting choice there is a good chance it can support your website designed to work with Joomla.

The Craftix Approach to Joomla Site Design

Craftix's approach to Joomla website design and development is similar in scope to our approach to designing a standard website. Just as with any website we design, we avoid "cookie-cutter" designs and the reselling of identical web templates that many other firms offer, and instead develop a customized web presence for each client using interfaces that your visitors will understand and find easy to use. We take the same guided approach with an initial consultation which can be done either over the phone or in person learning about what you do, what you want your website to say about you, and what you want your visitors to see.

The chief difference is that we create your website design in the form of a Joomla template complete with all the design characteristics built-in to the template. We design customized templates for Joomla 1.5 implementations adhering to xHTML and CSS web standards avoiding the use of table layouts for presentation control as some other Joomla templates use.

Then Craftix Let's You Decide What's Next...

Once the template has been designed and approved you have two possible paths to completion of your website.

1. Craftix can then build-out the initial website through the Joomla hosting solution your using (either on your own server, our hosting service, or a 3rd party hosting service) filling in your content and creating the appropriate corresponding menus etc. So that you have a completed and functional website just the same as if we had built a standard website for you. Then you can use Joomla to manage the website yourself and only call on Craftix to help with management when you're having problems or trying to achieve modifications that require more expertise.

OR

2. Alternatively we can simply deliver the template to you and let you do the actual site build out yourself if you're already comfortable with Joomla build-out and management.
